No injuries after tractor-trailer crashes into building
No one was injured Monday after a tractor-trailer making a delivery to a south Suffolk business struck the façade of a building, causing it to collapse.
The tractor-trailer was making a delivery just after 1 p.m. at Roger Fowler Sales & Service in the 8700 block of Whaleyville Boulevard near the North Carolina line when it struck the façade, according to a news release.
The Department of Planning and Community Development inspected the building and deemed it an unsafe structure.
The southbound lane of Whaleyville Boulevard was closed for about an hour following the incident.
