No one was injured but one person was taken into police custody following a three-car accident on U.S. Route 58 near U.S. Route 13 Monday afternoon.

One car involved in the accident was reported stolen out of Franklin, and its driver was taken into custody by Suffolk Police. The accident happened around 4:15 p.m.

Suffolk Fire & Rescue examined two people at the scene, but no injuries were reported.

One lane of traffic in both directions was closed for about 75 minutes.

The accident is under investigation.
