15-year-old injured in shooting

A 15-year-old was shot on Thursday evening.

Suffolk Police are investigating the shooting, which took place in the 900 block of Battery Avenue about 5:21 p.m. Thursday, according to a city press release.

The victim suffered injuries not considered life-threatening and was taken to a local hospital and then flown by Nightingale to another hospital.

The incident remains under investigation, and no additional information was available late Thursday.
