Samuel Wayne Morings, 31, of Suffolk, affectionately known as “Jr.”, “Thick” and “Thick Love” entered eternal rest and peace Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, at Southhampton Memorial Hospital. He was a 2008 graduate of Nansemond River High School. 

He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Sam and Portia Morings; sister, Sheneka Morings; nephew and niece Devin and Layla Martinez, all of Suffolk; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was the grandson of Alice Morings and the late Martha A. Johnson.

A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 14, at Crockers Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at Nansemond Suffolk Cemetery, 1421 Kings Fork Road, with the Rev. Karl Wilkins officiating. Poole’s Funeral Home is providing services.
