Police investigate stabbing

Suffolk Police are investigating a stabbing incident that happened late Saturday.
The stabbing happened in the 100 block of South Capital Street, according to a city press release. It was reported at 10:08 p.m.
Officers arrived on the scene and found an adult male victim who had been stabbed. Following medical assessment and treatment by Suffolk Fire & Rescue personnel, the victim was taken by ground ambulance to an area hospital with injuries that were considered serious but not life-threatening.
The incident remains under investigation. No additional information is available for release.
