Donna A. Kee, age 61, was called home to glory on March 20, 2021. She was born Oct. 15, 1959, in the Bronx, N.Y. She is the daughter of Donald and Margy (O’Dood) Raysor.

Donna was a beautiful soul who loved her family. She didn’t like what she had been through or what she was going through. She wasn’t into self-pity. In her words, “ain’t nobody got time for all that foolishness.” She was a woman of faith, empowerment, beauty and comfort. Donna took great pleasure in being able to give to those she cared about. During the pandemic she made sure her family and friends had care packages filled with essentials and special gifts.

In 1993, she married the love of her life, Arthur Kee Jr., of Suffolk. They built a beautiful bond together along with their five children: Carlene Ferguson, Donneash Ferguson, Carlton Ferguson, Pearline Fulgham and Larry Fulgham.

Donna took pride in her work as an inventory control specialist at QVC, where she was employed for 31 years.

In addition to her husband and four of her children, Donna is survived by her siblings: LaVonne O’Dood, Donald Raysor, Robin Welch and Sean Richardson; her aunt Zola; mother-in-law, Celia Kee; sister-in-law, Camilla Kee; brother-in-law, Andre Welch; daughters-in-law, Annica and Navida; eight grandchildren: Sincere, Azaria, Maliik, Antoine (her bonus son), Zonna, Gionni, Jayden and Nyecia; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, beloved daughter, Pearline Fulgham, and father-in-law, Arthur Kee Sr.

Donna was a ray of light who did things her way. She will be truly missed.

A public viewing will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2021, at Harris Funeral Home, 685 Carolina Road, Suffolk. Her celebration of life ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. March 26, 2021, at the graveside at Carver Memorial Cemetery (located across from JFK Middle School).
