Carolyn Jeanette Klages Shaver, 77, passed away April 18, 2021. She was born in Newport News, the daughter of the late Richard Randolph Klages Jr. and Bessie Mae Hoggard Klages Carter. She was predeceased by her siblings, Margaret Bulls, Diana Carter and Richard R. Klages III.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Teresa Bolen (Curtis), Tina Byrd, Christine Shaver; sons, Stephen, Danny, Kevin and Alan Shaver; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with the Rev. Tim Rawls officiating. Condolences may be registered online at parrfuneralhome.com.
