Police investigate shooting

Suffolk Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred shortly after midnight on Friday.
Emergency Communications was contacted at 12:05 a.m. regarding an adult male that had been shot, according to a city press release. Upon arrival in the 200 block of North Lloyd Street, officers located the man suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical assistance was provided until the arrival of Suffolk Fire & Rescue personnel, who then provided emergency medical assessment and treatment and ground transported the subject to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries,
The shooting victim has been identified as Jermaine Orlando Brock, age 34, of Suffolk.
The exact location of the incident has not been located at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
