Mildred Maxine Whisonant, 85, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021. She was born on May 2, 1936, in Wilmington, N.C. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Millie Severino.

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Brock (William) and Rhonda Chappell; son, Ricky Lee Whisonant (Linda); grandchildren, Kimberly (Greg), Ricky Jr. (Michelle), April (Jason), Ciarra (Wesley) and Chase; great-grandsons, Drake and Issac; and many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 27, 2021, at the Sturtevant Funeral Home Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel.
