Police make arrest in murder case

- Dominique Vontral Steward pleaded guilty to second-degree murder last month in Suffolk Circuit Court in the death of a man last year at a Pruden Boulevard motel.

Suffolk Police have arrested a Suffolk man following their investigation into a murder.
Suffolk Police advise that arrest warrants for Dominique Vontral Steward, 41, of Suffolk, were obtained for first-degree murder and use of a firearm while committing a murder, according to a city press release.
He is charged in the death of James Lee Golden, 58, of Suffolk. Golden was found deceased at a motel in the 2300 block of Pruden Boulevard on the afternoon of July 11.
Steward was arrested in Chesapeake on Wednesday and is currently being held without bond in Chesapeake City Jail, according to the release.
