Suffolk Police responded to a local hospital Saturday evening for a report of a shooting.
A city press release stated that an adult male came to the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound deemed non-life-threatening. It was reported at 10:23 p.m.
Police located the crime scene and collected evidence in the area of South Main Street and Truitt Avenue, the press release stated.
The victim refused to cooperate in the investigation.
City spokeswoman Diana Klink stated this is a different incident from one reported earlier Saturday in which another victim drove himself to the hospital.
