A Suffolk man died in a motorcycle accident over the weekend

Gregg A. Fox Jr., 42, died in the two-vehicle accident, according to Suffolk Police.

Emergency Communications was contacted at 12:32 p.m. Saturday about the accident at Nansemond Parkway and Suffolk Meadows Boulevard. It involved a motorcycle and pickup truck.

The motorcyclist received emergency medical assessment and treatment by Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire & Rescue before being taken by ground ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Both lanes on Nansemond Parkway were closed for an extended period of time as the investigation continued.
