As market president, Davis-Hagens will oversee all Hampton Roads market operations.
“It’s an honor to continue my service to this ministry in a new capacity and work with our physicians, associates and community partners to serve the distinct needs of our patients across Hampton Roads,” Davis-Hagens said in a statement. “I am delighted to lead this team as we evolve to meet the changing needs of the communities we serve.”
Prior to joining Mercy Health, Davis-Hagens served for more than 20 years as chief nursing officer and chief operating officer, at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana, Illinois.
Davis-Hagens will work closely with the board, physician and market leadership to ensure a smooth transition. Davis-Hagens holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Salem State College in Massachusetts and a master of business administration from Plymouth State College.
Davis-Hagens replaces Amy Carrier, who is now president and CEO of Centra Health in Lynchburg.
