James Douglas Saunders, 61, died Oct. 6, 2021. He was the son of the late Al and Georgia Saunders of Chuckatuck. A graduate of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, Class of 1978, he was a retired mechanic. 

Survivors include a brother, Paul Saunders (Pam); sisters, Mary Williams (Jesse), Ann Marks Saunders, Kathy Whitten (Fred) and nieces and nephews. R.W. Baker and Company Funeral Home Wakefield Chapel is serving the family. Online condolences may be registered at RWBakerFH.com.
