The city’s Department of Public Works will host an open forum public hearing Nov. 30 on proposed Phase II drainage improvements in the Pughsville area.
The project will include the installation of an enclosed pipe system down John Street and a stormwater pond between Queen Street and Armstrong Avenue.
The public hearing will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church at 4260 Pughsville Road.
The public hearing will be held in an open forum style and will not include a formal presentation.
Exhibits will be provided for review, and city staff, including design personnel, will be there to discuss and answer questions related to the project and its design.
The following items will be available at the public hearing: design plan sheets, public hearing brochure, information regarding the tentative project schedule, property impacts and right-of-way relocation assistance information and the approved environmental document.
People can offer written and verbal comments for the project record, and can be submitted through Dec. 30 to the Department of Public Works.
