The Suffolk Department of Public Works is currently working alongside the Suffolk Department of Public Utilities to relocate several fire hydrants along the 1100 block of Portsmouth Boulevard between Prospect Road and Nansemond Parkway.

This scheduled work will require a temporary interruption in water service for businesses and residents in this area from 8 p.m. Wednesday to 1 a.m. Thursday.

Public Works staff is working to notify affected businesses and residents. Water service interruption information will be updated as the work progresses. This work will be taking place as part of the Portsmouth Boulevard Sidewalk Project.
