Juvenile male injured in shooting

A juvenile male was injured in a shooting Thursday evening, according to a city press release.

The shooting was reported at 6:57 p.m., according to a press release from Suffolk Police Department. It happened in the 100 block of Wellons Street.

The juvenile male suffered a gunshot wound not deemed life-threatening and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
