Man seriously injured in shooting

Suffolk Police are investigating a shooting that sent a man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The shooting happened in the 100 block of Beech Street, according to a city press release. It was reported at 12:58 a.m. The victim, a 35-year-old man, was treated on scene by Suffolk Fire & Rescue and transported with life-threatening injuries.

There is no suspect information at this time, the release stated.
