House fire extinguished

Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded to a reported building fire in the 500 block of Shingle Creek Road late Saturday night.
Emergency Communications was contacted at 11:59 a.m. Saturday, and the first unit arrived on scene at 12:05 a.m. Sunday.
Engine 3, Ladder 3, and Medic 3 arrived to find a two-story house with smoke emerging from the eaves. Four occupants had evacuated prior to the arrival of firefighters.
Fire crews performed an aggressive interior attack to find fire in the attic. The attic sustained moderate fire damage, with no extension to the main living area of the home. There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians.
The four occupants were displaced and will be staying with relatives.
Responding units included Battalion 1, Engine 3, Engine 2, Engine 4, Ladder 3, Medic 3, Rescue 1, EMS-2 and Safety 1.
