Police: Hundreds of dollars of cigarettes stolen, Chuckatuck convenience store damaged in break-in

Suffolk Police are investigating a commercial burglary at the D&P Quick Stop in the 5900 block of Godwin Boulevard in Chuckatuck after responding to an alarm call around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday and finding the front glass door broken.
A review of security camera footage showed someone approaching the store on foot and breaking the glass by throwing a brick through the front door, police said in a news release. He was in the store for less than two minutes and took several hundred dollars of cigarettes before leaving the scene
The footage, according to police, showed a man with a heavy build and wearing a Washington Capitals jersey. He also had on a white face mask, a black glove on his left hand and a gray glove on his right hand, with black pants on.
Police have not released any more information.
