Police investigate armed robbery in Wynnewood subdivision

Suffolk Police are investigating an armed robbery Wednesday afternoon in the 6000 block of Camellia Drive in the Wynnewood subdivision in north Suffolk.
The alleged victim told police that two males approached him, produced a firearm and demanded his personal property, according to a police press release. The robbers allegedly took his cellphone and some money, then fled the scene in a newer-model four-door sedan with Georgia license plates. No injuries were reported. The incident was reported to police at 12:36 p.m.
