A man posed as a customer before displaying a Taser and going behind the counter of a 7-Eleven Saturday evening in the 6000 block of Godwin Boulevard to steal two cases of cigarettes before leaving the store, Suffolk Police said.
Police said the armed robbery took place at 6:54 p.m. When officers arrived, an employee at the store told them that a man came into the store and had acted as a customer until displaying the Taser and stealing the cigarettes. The man left in a tan Nissan X-Terra and was described as a Black man, 5-feet-7 to 5-feet-8 tall, weighing about 250 pounds and wearing a neon-colored coat or vest with a dark face covering that only showed the eyes.
Police said no one was injured in the incident, which police continue to investigate.
