Nancy Lewis Jones, 83, passed away peacefully on Aug. 3, 2022, at the Portsmouth Health Rehabilitation Center in Portsmouth. Nancy, a native, and current resident of Suffolk was the daughter of the late Allen W. Jones and Virtley Ballard Jones.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Allen Brent Jones Sr.; and her sister; Brenda J. Boone.

She is survived by her son, Joey Gilchrist of Suffolk; her sisters, Audrey C. Backus of Newport News, Ruth. A Deloatch of Suffolk, Juanita Adams of Washington, D.C. and Judith Shoulders of Hutto, Texas; three generations of nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
