19-year-old shooting victim dies Wednesday, no foul play suspected

The victim of an early Monday morning shooting died Wednesday at a local hospital.

In a news release, Suffolk Police Department identified him as Jaquan Malik Saunders, 19, of Suffolk. 

The investigation is ongoing, according to the release. However, no foul play is suspected at this time.

Suffolk Police Department responded to a report of a shooting on the 800 block of West Washington Street at 12:02 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22. When officers arrived on the scene, they located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.
