King’s Fork’s volleyball teams started out their seasons Thursday with wins over Nansemond River.
The Bulldogs’ girls topped the Warriors 25-17, 19-25, 25-18, 25-19 behind 31 kills from Aulie Huff and 31 assists from Lynn Weist.
Huff also had nine aces, four blocks and two digs, while Weist added six aces, three digs and two kills.
Makayla Bemeley added six kills, four aces, three digs and two blocks, while Kyra Woodall had six kills, four blocks and two digs.
The Bulldogs’ boys won in three sets, 25-11, 25-18, 25-17 behind 10 kills from Ajaye Davis, who also had four aces and two blocks.
Cameron Reid-Edwards had six kills, Yerai Collazo had four kills and Devon Hatcher had three blocks in the win over Nansemond River.
