Suffolk Parks and Recreation’s youth winter league registration opened on Thursday, Sept. 1. with online registration running through Oct. 21 at www.suffolkva.us/parks.

Basketball, cheerleading and futsal are available for youth ages 4 to 15. Futsal is a modified form of soccer played with five players per team (one of which is a goalkeeper), indoors on a basketball court.

Suffolk Parks and Recreation youth leagues are designed to teach sportsmanship, teamwork and enhance each young athletes’ skill set. Registration is available at the following locations:

• Suffolk Parks and Recreation Administration Office accepts registrations from m 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday until Oct. 29.
• Registration is set for Creekside Recreation Center and Mack Benn Jr. Recreation Center from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturdays in October.
• Online registration is available at www.suffolkva.us/parks through Oct. 29.

The registration fee for Lil Dribblers, Lil Pom Pom and Tiny Kickz (ages 4 to 5) is $40 for residents and $50 for non-residents. The registration fee for youth basketball, cheering and futsal (ages 6 to 15) is $60 for residents and $70 for non-residents.
