Motorists traveling eastbound on Holland Road are being detoured as Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire and Rescue prepare for removal of a tractor trailer involved in the collision.

Police and fire and rescue responded to an automobile accident Friday morning that involved a tractor trailer in the 6100 block of Holland Road. 

Emergency communications was made aware of the accident at about 5 a.m. No injuries are reported.  

While one eastbound lane was flowing, officials said in a news release that when wrecker operations begin, all eastbound lanes are being shut down are expected to remain closed until about noon, Friday, Sept. 8

One westbound lane will remain open.  

Suffolk Public Works has responded and a detour is in place by way of Longstreet Lane, according to city officials.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
