Shooting leaves man with life-threatening injuries

Suffolk Police are investigating a shooting incident in the 1600 block of U.S. 58 near the exit ramp of Pitchkettle Road that left one man with life-threatening injuries.
The Suffolk 911 Center received the call for service from the victim at 12:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct 8. The victim, an adult male, age 44, called dispatch and advised he had been shot multiple times, according to a news release.
When units arrived at the scene they located the injured victim, his vehicle that sustained damage from multiple gunshots and several shell casing.
The injured adult male was treated on scene by Suffolk Fire and Rescue and then transported to a local hospital by Nightingale.
The man’s injuries were considered to be life-threatening, police said in the news release.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time, and there is no further information available for release.
