New Rehoboth Kingdom Ministries held a street crusade and prayer service Wednesday, Oct. 19 at the corner of N. Main and Washington streets in downtown. Bishop Joseph Colander said God led him to hold the Street Prayer Crusade to encourage, empower and enlighten city residents .During this time of year, he said many people are depressed, frustrated, confused and angry, particularly with COVID-19 and all that is happening in people’s lives. He said his duty as an apostle and leader is to build up people, communities and churches, saying he was taught and raised by his late father Bishop Obadiah Colander to have a heart for the people. The purpose for the street crusade is to let Suffolk know that Jesus saves and cares.
