Water service interruptions expected on U.S. 58 and Holland Road corridor

Working on behalf of the Suffolk Department of Public Works, a contractor is set to perform scheduled water main relocation work
along the U.S. 58/Holland Road corridor starting on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
The work requires a water service interruption that is anticipated to run from 9 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 2, to 5 a.m., Thursday, Nov.3. This work is part of the U.S., 58/Holland Road widening project that is currently underway, according to a city news release.
Water services will be affected during the noted time period for residential city water customers in 100 Block of Beechwood Drive, the 200 Block of Beechwood Drive and the 100 Block of Gene Avenue.
Commercial businesses along at 2109 Holland Road will have their water service interrupted, as well.
If weather or other conditions do not allow for the work to occur on the dates noted, city officials said it is anticipated that the work will be rescheduled for 9 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 3 to 5
a.m., Friday, Nov. 4.
