Dog Days returns to Lake Meade Park at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25. 

Participants and their dogs take a one-mile hike around scenic trails at Lake Meade Park during this event hosted by Suffolk Parks and Recreation. There will be water coolers at designated drinking stations with complementary dog bowls for participants during the hike. 

Leashes are required for all pets.

Lake Meade Park amenities also include a dog park area for dogs to socialize, however, it will not be included as part of the hike and requires a separate registration to enter. 

This event is free and open to the public, however, registration is required. Those interested can do so online at www.suffolkva.us/parks. Registration can also be completed in person at East Suffolk Recreation Center, located at 138 South 6th St. 

Registration closes Feb. 24. Limited slots are available.

Lake Meade Park is located at 201 Holly Lawn Pkwy.
