Nansemond River High School DECA Chapter in partnership with C3 Concierge, and TD Capital Services Production are helping teens throughout Hampton Roads, the Eastern Virginia Region, North Carolina, and surrounding areas to “Say Yes to the Prom Dress.”

While prom is one of the most exciting times of the year that creates memories that last a lifetime, it also can be one of the most expensive high school activities after factoring in the perfect dress, hair, makeup, shoes/accessories, pictures, etc.

The Nansemond River DECA Chapter’s mission is to help offset the cost of prom for young ladies and their parents by providing them with the opportunity to shop for a free prom dress.

The Gowns For Crowns Prom Dress initiative began in December 2019, collecting more than 500 prom dresses in various styles, sizes and colors. 

With the support of local community, the chapter is excited to return this year for our third annual Prom Dress Giveaway event. 

Nansemond River DECA Chapter is accepting gently worn, like new, damage-free prom dresses. Donations may be dropped off or mailed to Nansemond River High School, 3301 Nansemond Pkwy., no later than March 10.

All dresses are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Register to shop for a 2023 prom dress at the Gowns For Crowns Prom Dress Giveaway event by visiting bit.ly/gownsforcrowns23.

Masks are recommended but not required.
