Suspect connected with deadly Tuesday morning domestic-related shooting in custody

City Police have a Suffolk man in custody in connection with a deadly domestic-related shooting early Tuesday morning.
Suffolk Police said Allyjah Rivera, 23, of Suffolk, was pronounced dead after being transported to a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.
Suffolk Emergency Communication Center received a call for service in reference to a domestic-related shooting at 4:20 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, that occurred inside a residence in the 100 block of North 10th Street, police said in a news release. Officers arrived at the residence and found Rivera suffering from a gunshot wound. Suffolk Fire and Rescue treated and transported Rivera to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
Police said the individual who allegedly shot Rivera was still on the scene when police arrived. They identified him as Darion Robb, 29, of Suffolk. He was detained and transported to police headquarters.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time. Suffolk Police said there is no further information available for release.
