TGIF concerts return with 8 bands

Suffolk’s annual TGIF Summer Concert Series returns this month with eight bands performing at two city parks.
The City of Suffolk Parks and Recreation Department announced this year’s musical line-up and event locations in a news release.
The musical series kicks off at Constant’s Wharf Park and Marina, 110 E. Constance Rd., featuring:
- Tidewater Drive on June 16
- 504 Supreme on June 23
- Island Boy on June 30
- SlapNation on July 14
Festivities at all concerts begin at 6 p.m., with bands performing from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Admission is free for all ages. Concessions will be available for purchase, and those attending are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket for seating.
The summer fun continues with four additional concerts at Bennett’s Creek Park, 3000 Bennett’s Creek Park Rd., featuring:
- Inside Out on July 28
- Tailgate Down on Aug. 4
- The Deloreans on Aug. 11
- WonderLand on Aug. 18
