Suffolk Les Gemmes inducts 4 new members

The Suffolk Chapter of Les Gemmes Inc. inducted four new members into its organization on Sunday, June 11.

They were Marshe Copeland, Angela McHerrin, Queenie Mason and Yvonne Bedden-Johnson. Special guest Anita Hicks, the national vice president and the vice president of the Portsmouth Chapter, participated in the induction. 

Gail Hinton-Copeland, the president, presided over an initial meeting before the ceremony. Duo Gail Hinton-Copeland and Stanley Edwards prepared the dinner following the induction ceremony.

On Monday, June 5, the organization held a “meet and greet” session for the prospective four members at the Turnip Sprout Restaurant, which included a dinner and gifts presented to the oldest and longest member, Audrey Knight, and the youngest member, Jasmine Downs. 

Officers of the Suffolk Chapter are Gail Hinton-Copeland, president; Veronica Evans, vice president; Anita Everett-Batts, secretary; Tammy Miller-Williams, assistant secretary; Chandra Johnson, treasurer and Evelyn Wall, chaplin. 

With the addition of four new members, the chapter now has a membership of 18 members. 

National Les Gemmes include 19 chapters states-wide.
