The Oakland Christian United Church of Christ celebrated payoff of its $900,000 debt for construction of its Community Life Center during the Sunday, July 9 worship service. Pictured above, the Rev. Jason Stump is shown performing the note burning ceremony. The CLC is used not only for various church functions, but also by many community organizations and needs. Stump said the church has been strengthening its foundational belief upon God’s love for all and we will continue to build upon the solid rock of that foundation.
