William McCray Jr., also known as “The Godfather” transitioned on Aug. 12, 2023. He was born on Aug. 31, 1945, in Suffolk to the late Bertha and William McCray Sr. 

A viewing will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, at Crocker Funeral Home.  A celebration of life will be held at noon, Tuesday, Aug. 22, in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Little Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
