Trial dates have been set for two Suffolk Police Department officers arrested Monday, Aug. 14 and Thursday, Aug. 17.

According to the Suffolk General District Court, the court date for master police officer James Babor is Monday, Oct. 23, while the date for senior police officer Marco Leslie is Tuesday, Nov. 14.

Due to both choosing their attorneys, an arraignment date set for Tuesday was not needed. Likewise, both officers will not plead until their hearing date. A special judge will be selected for both cases.

The two officers have been charged with obtaining money under false pretenses, which are felonies. Babor has also been charged with one count of forging and uttering a public document and one count of computer fraud.

A city spokesman has confirmed both were placed on administrative leave.
