7 Suffolk students transfer to James Madison University

James Madison University is welcoming seven new transfer students from Suffolk to campus this month. 

The Suffolk transfer students include: Karley Wetmore, whose selected major is elementary education; Latesha Young and Michelle Chance, with individualized study selected majors; Rebecca Leman, Haley Piscitello and Katelyn Ward, all with selected majors in nursing; and Alana Troxell, whose selected major is political science.

12 Suffok students become part of JMU class of 2027

As the new school year begins, 12 students from the city will join others this month at James Madison University as part of the class of 2027. 

The incoming Suffolk class members and their planned majors are: Emma Boyd of Suffolk, kinesiology; Isaac Dailey, engineering; Connor McGhee, hospitality management; Karis Meston, biology; Keaton Owens, geography, Sydney Prosper, exploratory; Devon Ranay, biology; Luke Renninger, biology; Milan Rhodes, biophysical chemistry; Carter Routten, health sciences; Edward Thoma, international business; and Madison Zyliak, business management.
