As election day looms, early voting in Virginia concluded on Saturday, Nov. 4. Here in Suffolk, early voting totals far exceeded the expectations of the Suffolk Registrar Burdette Lawrence and says they are anticipating a busy election day.

As of the early voting close, 7,231 or approximately 10% of all registered voters in Suffolk cast votes during the period, which began on Sept. 22. Saturday alone saw 766 registered voters come out to take advantage of the final day of early voting.
