Early Monday shooting claims the life of Suffolk man

Updated Dec. 5 – Suffolk Police have identified the victim in Monday’s shooting as 26-year-old Devon Eason of Suffolk.

According to a media release from the Suffolk Police Department, on Dec. 4, 2023, at approximately 2:45 a.m. the 911 center received in the 1000-block of Nansemond Parkway reporting an adult male in the parking lot with gunshot wounds.

“Upon arrival, officers located the man, a Suffolk resident, near a black vehicle and found him to be deceased,” the release said. “The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification to next of kin. There is no suspect information to release at this time.”
