Get in the holiday spirit with the VSO Holiday Brass

On Friday, Dec. 15, the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts will help ring in the holidays with a performance by

the Virginia Symphony Orchestra Holiday Brass, the center announced in a media release. The concert will begin at 7:00 PM and will be a family-friendly event. Reserved seating tickets are $40, $35, and $18 for youth 15 & under.

Under the direction of VSO Conductor Paul Bhasin, attendees will experience the festive sounds of the season in a concert filled with holiday music — featuring the VSO brass and percussion sections in an all-new program. You’ll enjoy music from trombones, trumpets, and tubas with classic holiday sing-a-long songs like: ‘Angels We Have Heard On High’, ‘The First Noel’, and ‘We Wish You A Merry Christmas’. The VSO Holiday Brass concert is sure to be a new holiday tradition.

The Suffolk Center’s 18th Performance Season promise is to provide guests with extra special surprises at every show… the VSO Holiday Brass Concert is no exception,”  the release said. “On Dec. 15, you will enjoy pre-show crooning by The Doorway Singers, Hampton Roads’ premiere vocal group, as they stroll the Center in perfect four-part harmony. The festive evening also features an extra special local performance by the Kings Fork High School Chorus, directed by Dante Copeland, performing ‘Have You Seen the Baby’, ‘Under Winter Moon’, and ‘Christmas Bells’. “
