Nansemond River Warriors extended its winning streak to five after a dominating 67-34 win over the Warhill Lions, going 2-0 in the Warwick Holiday Hoops tournament for the third consecutive year.
The Warriors opened up with a 7-0 run and never looked back as they shot 52% from the floor, with all 10 Warriors putting up points and causing 18 turnovers, converting on 12 of them.
Jayden Barnes came off the bench for the second straight day and scored a team-high 16 points, Christian Jordan had 10 points,6 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists, and Cameron Powell added 10 rebounds and 5 blocked shots. The Warriors are 5-1 on the season, with its lone loss to crosstown rival King’s Fork. The Warriors head to a 16-team tournament in Raleigh North Carolina next week with a 6-1 record
