Nansemond River boys extend winning streak to six with crushing win in holiday tournament

The Nansemond River boys basketball team went on a road trip to Raleigh, North Carolina to compete in the South Granville High School Holiday Tournament. With three players in double-digit scoring, the Nansemond River Warriors trounced
Oxford, North Carolina’s JF Webb Warriors 70-30 to extend their winning streak to 6 games, improving to 7-1 on the season.
The Nansemond River defense came in hot, forcing JF Webb into 27 turnovers, shutting out Webb’s offense in the final quarter, and limiting them to just 20% shooting.
 Offensively, Haven Nicholas led all scorers with 16 points, Christian Jordan added 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Jayden Barnes dropped 13 points.
