After being unable to control the tempo in the waning seconds, the Bulldogs turned the ball over in the backcourt, giving Oscar Smith one last opportunity with 8 seconds left in the game. Smiths Cashean Perry turned into a defensive back and deflected the inbound pass right into Jacobi Harper’s hands, whose floater from inside the paint came up short. A Travis Johnson tip-in attempt sailed over the rim and eventually landed back in Harper’s hands. Harper squared up from the outside, let the ball fly, found nothing but the bottom of the net as the clock hit zero, and secured the upset over King’s Fork.

The story for the Bulldogs was their 12 turnovers, five of which came in the final quarter of play.

Adarius Boston scored 19 points in the loss to go along with his eight rebounds. Dashawn Lucas added 11 points and five rebounds. Zekhi Darden dropped in 10 points with 11 rebounds and added two steals.

Ulysses Young led the Tigers scoring with 19 points. Harper followed with 15 points all scored in the second half of the game.
