Suffolk Va. –Mark Furlo, Director of Parks & Recreation for the City of Suffolk, announced the selection of Rickeda Fofana as the Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation, effective Feb. 22, 2024.

Rickeda boasts 22 years of experience with the Suffolk Department of Parks & Recreation, during which she has held various roles, including Clerk Typist, Recreation Specialist, and Youth Outreach Coordinator. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from St. Paul College and is a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional.

Furlo stated, “Rickeda is an experienced recreation professional and a seasoned leader. Her breadth of experience and knowledge is a welcomed addition to the Parks & Recreation team, and we are excited to have her in this new role”
