NSA softball makes quick work of Norfolk Christian

It took just three innings for the VISAA Division II top-ranked Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints softball team to dispatch Norfolk Christian Thursday. The Lady Saints continued its offensive dominance, including a Zoey Carpenter three-run inside-the-park home run in the 17-0 win.
The Lady Saints racked up 15 hits and 12 RBI, striking out once. Ellie Benes took command of the circle, allowing no hits, walking two, and striking out seven.
The Saints have defeated their last seven opponents by 10 or more runs, averaging 15 runs a game. NSA improves to 9-0-1 on the season and prepares to take on Nansemond River on Monday, April 15. First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
