They say everything comes in threes. That was the case for NSA’s Malli Groves on Saturday. Groves went 3 for 3 at the plate, with 3 RBI, and scored 3 runs, as the Lady Saints dominated Manteo 21-0. Groves also wears the number 3.

The Lady Saints scored 11 runs in the first inning Saturday, including a two-run home run by Groves. As a team, NSA went 13 for 29 with six walks and only struck out twice.

Addy Smith got the start, with Ellie Benes and Marin McGowan getting some work in the circle. They allowed no hits. Manteo committed 11 errors on the day.

NSA improves to 14-1-1 and will host Brunswick Academy on Monday, April 29 at 4:30 p.m.
