Jordyn Brashares propelled King’s Fork Bulldogs to a 23-7 victory over Indian River Softball on Tuesday, driving in four runs with just one hit. Brashares tripled in the fourth inning, bringing home three runs, and later walked in the fifth inning, contributing another run.

King’s Fork  Bulldogs’ lower lineup, consisting of Paige Ziegler, Auburn Masten, and Raegan Rieken, played a pivotal role, combining for five hits, nine runs, and five RBIs. Ziegler grounded out, and Brashares stole home in the second inning, each adding a run to their tally.

Indian River  Softball got on the scoreboard in the first inning through a fielder’s choice by Lauren Grimm. However, King’s Fork  Bulldogs swiftly regained the lead in the second inning after Ziegler’s groundout and Brashares’ steal.

Despite Indian River  Softball’s efforts to retake the lead in the bottom of the second, King’s Fork Bulldogs surged ahead with a remarkable 13-run third inning, securing a commanding 15-4 lead. Ava Martin’s single, driving in two runs, highlighted the inning.

King’s Fork  Bulldogs continued to dominate, adding five runs in the fourth inning, with Brashares’ triple being the highlight, bringing in three runs. Pitcher Jaden Williams held the fort for King’s Fork  Bulldogs, striking out four and allowing seven runs over five innings.

In the end, King’s Fork Bulldogs secured victory with 10 hits and strong baserunning, including nine stolen bases. They displayed solid defense, committing zero errors throughout the game.

On the opposing side, Indian River showed resilience, with Skinner leading in RBIs and Moore drawing two walks. However, their efforts fell short against King’s Fork  Bulldogs’ strong performance.

King’s Fork  Bulldogs will face Lakeland High School at home in their next game on Thursday.
