Led by Cooper Goss’s four-goal performance, the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints defeated the North Cross Raiders 7-5 on Saturday.

Both teams traded goals early on, with NSA taking a 4-3 lead into the half. Coming out of the break, NSA played and controlled the tempo and physicality, quickly building a two-goal lead midway through the third period and never looked back en route to the championship win.

Riddick Harrell, Parker Green and Jackson Jensen rounded out the Saints scoring. Howard Casterlow added four assists, and Saints goalkeeper Bennett Parker made several key saves late in the game, with a total of eight on the day.
